![]() ![]() Mylio brings that file system to my tablet and phone too. #Mylio hardware windows#I love files and folders on my Windows machines and on my Mac's. I don't know about you but I love the file system. So, the adjustments I made on that airplane with no connection later get applied to my originals at home (losslessly) without me having to think about it. Whenever any two of my devices see each other they bring each other up to date. So, I can adjust white balance, exposure, apply brushes and more anywhere I am even with no internet connection. On a retina class display I can't tell the difference between an optimized image and an original. Mylio has a unique compression technology that allows me to keep >100,000 optimized images on my tablet, my phone, my notebook computer, all fully editable. For me that is a real problem really solved. Mylio keeps them all in sync automatically without me ever thinking about it. By the way some of those copies are at my house and some are at my office. So, Mylio allows me to say how many copies of my originals I want it to keep current for me. It happens I don't completely trust the cloud and in any case worry about how long it would take to get 8TB into the cloud. I have a large library and want to protect it from loss. So - true - we don't implement stacks, at least not today. #Mylio hardware software#It is also true that, having written software since 1966, I realized a long time ago that trying to do everything at once in a product is a recipe for doing nothing ever. I love my A7R, my iPad and my Tesla, but I have no relationship with any one of those companies.ĭoes Mylio solve any problems? I can assure you that in designing the product we worked hard to solve many problems that people in the real world have. The fact that he loves a product he uses is a good thing. Also for clarity, our relationship with Dan is exactly this - no more and no less - he is a user and we support him. Perhaps to you, Dan's post sounds like an advertorial, but to me yours sounds like an "anti-vertorial" not sure which is worse. I'd be more keen to have a real, non-marketingSpeak, answer to the question, "yeah, great, but what is Mylio FOR?" Of course, just because it doesn't do what I want doesn't mean it will not be a godsend to others.īut frankly, better or less good facial recognition than Lightroom is not exactly the first thing I'd be concerned with. And that community will not be likely to pay Mylio's pretty high costs. The library synchronisation is clever, I guess, but mostly useful to those whose main imaging device is a phone or tablet. Some examples - grown-up DAM tools, advanced stacking (so recognition of images which are derivatives of a common source, or which have some other relationship). Trouble is, they weren't really problems that needed solving, and those that do, it ignores. It's an attractive application, which solves a lot of problems. And your blog even states that your relationship with Mylio is not exactly that of a random customer. Well to be fair it did sound pretty much like an advertorial. Are you bothered by my giving people more info for other products than Lightroom? Maybe a bad day at the office? #Mylio hardware how to#You sure Jim in Hudson? I don't recall ever sharing the How To video connection to Mylio. Wished DPReview would get these forums updated with better technology.įace Recognition from Mylio Support on Vimeo. I tried posting the video via the tool in this forum but the forum tool doesn't work, not this time or many other times Iv'e tried to land videos in these threads. Below is a link to a video showing how Mylio face recognition works. ![]() These guys and gals are adding new and powerful features everyday. To get started you can find their many tutorials at. ![]() If you can think of it, type it in to Google with the Mylio name and see what comes up.įor those interested in another photography workflow option that is simple, yet powerful and runs like a rocket, you should really give Mylio a look. Mylio has a huge online database of How to videos and text explaining and showing it's many features. An earlier post with misinformation about Mylio's lack of facial recognition, when compared to Lightroom, inspired me to start Mylio Tips on my Blog. ![]()
